What is money and what money attitudes does your child have? We have gone through much past conditioning about money and so are our children going through.

Many were brought up to think that money is the root of all evils, for instance. If we are brought up believing that money is the root of all evil, we might unconsciously sabotage ourselves financially so that we do not become rich, believing that having too much money is not right. I must agree that money can amplify the character of one, but disagree with the saying that money is the root of all evil.I like the saying that money is an energy that can be used for good or evil.

To many, money could be a tool for achieving and maintaining independence. Money determines the type of lifestyle we lead. Money gives us options. I can chose the type of school I send my kids to, the type of food I eat, the kind of courses I enroll my kids, etc. Money can't buy happiness. But without enough money, there will be lots of unhappiness.

I think it is most essential to get the attitudes about money right in order to pass the right mental fundamentals about money to our children.
